This was my first creation. A lot of my experience came from the PSP version of MNR. So it explains why the track is very grounded. In fact, the origin of Saiyuki Raceway came from a fanfic I did a year ago. When I began sculpting the landscape I just referred to what I was writing down as inspiration.
The Mod Racing League season opener begins in one of the oldest standing tracks in MRL history. This old, high speed circuit is nested inside the sparkling Sunset Lake, and in the mountainside wind farm. This track is named after it's designer, and driving legend, the late Anoko Saiyuki. Since it's inaugural race in the 1990 MRL season, it has underwent numerous adjustments, but this high speed track with a lot of elevation changes, still excites the fans and spectators of the MRL. This year, it's the first race in the calendar. How do you kick off a season of racing? By racing on a track that's home to intense competition, as well as home to one of the closest finishes in MRL history
